Dear respected members of KSNMT.
The year 2020 is a very meaningful for KSNMT members. This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Nuclear Medicine, and 43rd anniversary of Nuclear Medicine Technology in Korea. In addition, 2020 marks the 10th anniversary of Asian Society of Nuclear Medicine Technology (ASNMT). It is my great pleasure and honour to begin my term as 19th chairman of KSNMT in 2020.
KSNMT was started in 1977, and the beginning of positron emission tomography (PET) and PET radiopharmaceutical production in 1994 has become a springboard for growth, and payoff of 18F-FDG PET scan was a major boom in nuclear medicine. Despite many difficulties, I think we can develop further if we cooperate and become one.
1. KSNMT members should be united.
We should unite with respect and consideration for each other between occupationals and hospitals.
2. KSNMT members shall participate and communicate.
Participation and communication are the top priority among KSNMT members and the driving force for development. We ask for your active participation in the conference and symposium held by KSNMT. We will always listen to the members' opinions and communicate with KSNMT members.
For further development of KSNMT, we will actively participate in ASNMT and interact with Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) and European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) in the globalized era.
We will do our best to develop the Korean Society of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
